A Piece of Peace

Today at Townhill’s Phoenix Centre we asked participants to Consider Yourself calm. Together we visited Pantycelyn Road and got our fix of tranquility from the epic views over Swansea Bay. Everyone had time to themselves in this peaceful place to simply be, and then record how they felt in the form of a photograph.

Later we moved back to the Phoenix Centre to see if we could find somewhere closer to home in which to recreate that sense of calm. When sea views and sweeping vistas are suddenly not on tap finding that space for yourself can be as simple as watching the birds, finding a bench, or having five minutes to yourself on the loo.

It can be tough finding calm on demand in today’s crazy mixed up world. Putting yourself first isn’t always an option but it’s something we should make time to do. If you don’t look after yourself who will? You deserve a piece of peace. Have a look at our participants’ photographs and see if you can find the inner calm that you deserve.

  1. Thanks Ray. The decisive moments are always there. You just have to make time to see them. Cardinal de Retz said: “There is nothing in this world that does not have a decisive moment.”
