Bringing Gower Home to Port Tennant

Yesterday was double action packed. Not only was it the final session for workshops over at Melincryddan, we also saw part of the Bringing Gower Home adventure continue in Port Tennant, Swansea.

Here participants from WCADA shared their memories of their Bringing Gower Home workshop which took place last month. I’ve worked closely with WCADA’s Domino Therapeutic Recreation Project over the last five years facilitating photography workshops of various kinds so it was natural for WCADA to be given the first opportunity for this latest round of Bringing Gower Home. The feedback session yesterday not only celebrated WCADA’s participation in Bringing Gower Home but was part of their wider Family Fun Day. Loads of people from all over the South Wales area who have links with WCADA got together and shared in the positive way that the organisation has helped people to better themselves.

Inside the sports hall at Ashlands Playing Fields we shared a huge slide show of all the participants photographs next to the bouncy castle. Meanwhile out here we listened to WCADA’s own band The Wild Berries play their fist gig.

I am organising, delivering, and supporting this project in collaboration with Gower Landscape Partnership (GLP) which is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Natural Resources Wales, City and County of Swansea, and National Trust.
