It’s been a few weeks now since my Methodology show opened at Workers Gallery in Ynyshir. I’m still amazed by the response from people who’ve been to see it. Some visitors have travelled far and wide to get to the gallery, and rightly so! Workers Gallery is ranked #1 of things to do in Rhondda by Trip Advisor which gives you an idea of the quality of art the gallery represents.
My Methodology has always been to be inclusive as much as possible. I don’t exclusively show in the big cities because everybody should have the chance to see good art and hear the reasons behind what makes artists tick. I’m always discovering new methods and new ways of working and I want to share these with as many people as possible. Sometimes this leads to sales but, more importantly, it leads to new people having the chance to question the creative world around them.
I’m showing my first 4 pieces from my Automata series as part of this exhibition. They’ve not been let out of my studio before so it’s exciting to hear what people think. Other works are from private collections or haven’t been shown before in the UK. It’s as comprehensive a collection as I can make it without it being overwhelming and includes works from the last 8 years.
But don’t take my word for it. Go for a picnic up into the mountains of Wales and discover this awesome little gallery. See my art and let me know what you think of it all.
Methodology runs until 9th July. Open Thursday to Saturday 10-5pm
