Last Words

A final session today at Dylan Thomas Centre and one last catch up with the amazing people from the Traumatic Brain Injury Service. Over the course of ten weeks we’ve developed friendships and told stories that no doubt will hold fast for years to come.

Today we’ve put the final touches on the exhibition which will take place on July 18th at Swansea Grand Theatre. Participants have been writing words to go with their sequence of images telling their stories of recovery. It’s been quite emotional to hear how everyone has grown just in the last ten weeks.

The journey we’re all on is a personal one and life changing events have a way of making you reassess how important life is and how we all have the potential to grow in new and unexpected ways. I know everyone I’ve worked with will continue to grow onwards and upwards.

I also had one last chance to see the Dylan Thomas exhibit here at the centre. I like to think Dylan’s inspiration and creativity has a chance to give us all the boost we need.
