The other week I ran the last Bringing Gower Home workshop out at Gower Heritage Centre in Parkmill, Gower. The press arrived to cover the event and they faithfully told me they would let me know when the article would be there. Of course with their busy schedule this is the kind of thing that never happens so imagine my surprise when I found this article in the West Wales Chronicle.
I love it when participants on my courses get the recognition they deserve for their talent. Across many organisations and many projects there are people struggling with the things me and you take for granted. If I can help in any way for them to get the praise they deserve in learning a new skill and improving their own self-esteem then I’m all for it. I run the courses and design the content but I’m not the one who has taken the chance to learn something new and challenge themselves. It takes a lot of guts to take the chance in stepping out of your comfort zone and discovering new areas of personal growth.
