A World of Work

It’s been a weekend of laptops and crisp sandwiches trying to make a dent in a mountain of jobs I promised myself a while back. I’ve been planning A FaB Intervention as part of Fringe Arts Bath 2016, updating my Artfinder store, entering an exhibition in New York, assisting someone to make a music video, doing a photo-shoot, prepping some work for delivery to The Workers Gallery… thinking of which…

I’m a resident artist at The Workers Gallery and as such there’s some of my art about to go into a show called A World of Work. This show will be sharing all sorts of recent works and work in progress from myself and others. I’ve decided to include some of my collaborative pieces which I created with Ben Honebone last year as part of our Structured Chaos series. We’re producing a set of greetings cards for people to buy to accompany this series too which will be exclusive to The Workers Gallery and strictly limited edition. It’s really exciting because this is the first time some of this work has been seen by the public. It will be interesting to see what people think of our methods.

Structured Chaos is a series of cut paper assemblages based on Ben’s photographs. You can see a video of Stare Down by clicking here  to see how this work is created, or pop along to the opening at The Workers Gallery, Ynyshir, Porth. The show runs from 17 March to 30 April.

I’ll be at the gallery in person on April 16th delivering a collage masterclass. If you want to take part then places are £12 per head. Read all about it  by clicking here and I hope to see you soon!

Lots of links to keep you busy today. Meanwhile, I have another mountain of emails to send. And food. I must remember food!

Right, back to work…!
