The summer, much like Christmas, always seems to disrupt my routine. Instead of work and art making I end up at weddings and family functions. Friends seem to be missing, presumably on holiday, and external projects and freelance work seem to grind to all but a halt.
I usually use the summer to get to the bottom of all the jobs I’ve been putting off throughout the rest of the year. These lazy summer months are the time I do my tax return*, make plans for the next academic year**, and of course I collage up pictures from recent weddings to give as presents.
*I hate to leave it until January
