Cutting Blind

After the first few layers I’m so familiar with the shapes and rhythms of The Scout that I no longer need to look at the source photograph to know where to lay the scalpel. This is the sixth layer out of up to eighteen layers and I’m feeling very comfortable now as to where this is heading.

By working on the reverse side and from different angles the result follows the ethos of our Structured Chaos series. The results will be as they were meant to be – not predetermined by us but chosen by fate. Both I and my collaborative partner have an inherent sense of trust and belief that everything will be as it should and will fall in the order that was meant to be.

We don’t need to view the picture to see the future.
