What we need is a Montage…

Today has been a pause for self-reflection with Structured Chaos in the form of a montage. This will be used for the Workers in Progress exhibition which opens at The Workers Gallery, Ynyshir, Rhondda on Sunday 15th March.

This montage is actually a compilation of all the blog entries which detail the evolution of Structured Chaos. It’s an exploded sketchbook, if you like, of everything that you can find here at melanieezra.com. This project has been in development since the start of 2015 and it looks likely to continue throughout much of the year. The A1 montage details everything from the first inception in using sprue leftover from old artworks, through to the present day developments in collaboration with Bone.

It has been really therapeutic to put this together. I know by the time it is exhibited that it will be out of date due to the progress we’re already making with Eiscape. But nevertheless it is a useful pointer to people interested in the creative processes that I’m using.

I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that all anybody ever needs in their life is a montage to evaluate where they’re headed.

Even Rocky had a montage…
