On a Monday, I’ve been working closely with WCADA to provide individuals with a way to see the world differently using photography. The course is themed around Dylan Thomas and is designed to contemplate many of his quotes and musings in order to help personal progress. I love working in the field of therapeutic photography and it’s great to see participants improve their outlook, and ideas on life, using cameras.
I’m really lucky that my work with WCADA is based at the Dylan Thomas Centre. We can get totally immersed in all things Dylan-orientated and consider bit parts of poems or quotes that can aid us in our day to day life. Today I asked my class to consider just a tiny fragment of Fern Hill and think about how we could stop time racing away from us and return back to the carefree and simple days of our youth. It allowed us to have a quiet meditative moment out in the sunshine which is exactly what I needed in order to start the week on the right foot.
