I’m continuing this week with my Walk/Listen/Respond project. I’ve already been asked a few questions which challenge the fundamentals of what I’m doing. The rules of the project are my rules and work for me. Each rule is vital to settling my mood into the right rhythm for aligning audio, visual, and physical.
If other people try this and want to miss out or change a rule then I have no problem at all. Rule 2 is fundamental to me because I relax best whilst walking. Being able to move through familiar environments and see them in a different light is the key thing.
There should be that eureka moment in your brain telling you that you are about to see something different that you haven’t noticed before. Without that moment then surely you’re just taking an ordinary photograph? The photograph you get may seem ordinary to anyone else but your soul will tell you different.
That is what I’m trying to unlock within myself.
Rules: Set MP3 to random album, Walk, When what you hear can be represented by what you see then take a photograph, document your findings no edits, no crops, no photoshop or alterations of any kind.
