The Power of the Imagination

I’ve not had time to think about developing any new artwork lately. I’ve had too much fun working in other areas and with other projects. One such project is on a Friday at Plasmarl Primary School in Swansea. here I’ve been helping children develop their self-confidence through photography.

The idea is that we explore the local environment and see what a wonderful world Plasmarl can be. The trouble is that dark and rainy winter afternoons make us just want to stay indoors. Thankfully the indoors can be just as exciting when used in an imaginative way. I was really impressed, and confused, when I saw this selfie. It took me a while to work it out.

Somehow, when I see photographs like this taken by people in my classes, my own need to create art seems less important.
