Dead Doubts

Date: 15-I-2012
Name of collector: Melanie Ezra
Size: 2.5″ x 2.5″
Identification: 5.2.1 Nauticus ‘Clone’
Doomed for all sorts of reasons, the Nauticus is still a disaster in my eyes. I persevered with this clone but none of it seems to make any sense to me. I still don’t know what I’m seeing in the original that I’m trying to recreate. I’m not sure why I’m chasing this one when every fibre of my being tells me to leave it be.
I’m still not done though. I’ll try one more. I have faith that something is salvageable from this wreck.
“Faith, like a jackal, feeds among the tombs, and even from these dead doubts she gathers her most vital hope.” Herman Melville ‘Moby Dick’
