There are all sorts of comparisons that can be made between these collages and the previous ones in the series. The most significant of these is obviously that there is no person present. As such it makes sense to present the two of these together. Or does it?

They are so different in terms of structure and mood. The soft curves of Eighteen make me want to investigate more. I would be quite happy to create clones of this collage. I can mentally break her apart, I can understand her, I can see how she ticks. The warmth of the purples against the greens is enticing. Eighteen is simply lovely to look at.

Whereas, the structure of Hidden is a complex web of confusion. There is no mental entry point that I can find. It is not soft and easy on the eyes, there is no focal point to speak of, and the colours are boring. Despite the cuts and open areas Hidden remains closed to me.

I guess this means Hidden will remain childless, and in the meantime it’s fallen to me to get Eighteen pregnant…
