The Importance of Colour

The colour is important; washed out, distant, remote, timeless. If I am to form a dialogue with the viewer then that dialogue will be at a chromatic and chronologic arm’s length. My personal space will be respected.

If I am to form a dialogue with myself it should be with a sense of respect for who I was, who I am, and who I am to become. I am about to cut and rip, but these acts are non-violent to me. I am rewording a fact and revisualising a situation. I will weave a delicate beauty out of these memories. They will serve as a timeless testament to who I feel I am today.
